VOKASI NEWS – As a form of collaboration between the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Airlangga University and the University of Malaya (UM), the Faculty of Vocational Studies is holding an International Guest Lecturer. The activity took place on February 15, 2023, with 150 participants from 3 vocational faculty departments. The event raised the topic Human Resource Management: Post Covid-19 Challenges with speakers from the University of Malaya namely Dr. Safiah Omar.
In presenting the material, Dr. Safiah said that during the Covid-19 period, there were several challenges that we experienced. These challenges include remote work policies, the providing of technology and equipment to support remote work, online workshops, and virtual communication and collaboration.
She also said that now is the time for us to accelerate our journey toward HR 3.0. The organization is focused on creating a transparent and personalized employee experience through cognitive technology that is moving into a new era of human resources. The 5 pillars of HR 3.0 are experience-centered design, skills, data-driven decision-making supported by AI, agile practices for speed and responsiveness, and transparency.
The stakeholders of the company must be smart in taking steps to develop their business. Work arrangements and policies are needed to continue to exist and always for the welfare of employees. Good communication and technology will help us build a post-covid industrial world.
