SUMMARY:8th International Conference on Vocational Innovation & Applied Sciences (ICVIAS) 2026
DESCRIPTION:The International Conference on Vocational Innovation and Applied Sciences (ICVIAS) is an annual international conference hosted by the Faculty of Vocational Studies\, Universitas Airlangga. Therefore\, it serves as a platform to connect vocational higher education communities with broader innovation ecosystems. \nNow in its 8th edition\, ICVIAS gathers TVET educators\, students\, researchers\, industry partners\, LSP\, incubators\, accelerators\, and public services. Thus\, the conference provides a platform to share applied research\, teaching innovations\, and real-world implementations. \nIn Indonesia\, conference participation has often been driven primarily by publication motives. Therefore\, ICVIAS is strengthened as a practice-based hub prioritizing collaboration\, networking\, and solution-oriented engagement beyond paper presentations. \nThe 8th ICVIAS 2026 will be held on 15 October 2026 in Surabaya\, Indonesia (Hybrid Conference). The theme is: \n“Applied Digital Innovation for Work-Ready Solutions.” \nMoreover\, aligned with the theme “Applied Digital Innovation for Work-Ready Solutions\,” the sub-theme “Connecting TVET\, industry\, and communities through practice-based innovation and measurable impact” is emphasized. Consequently\, ICVIAS highlights the role of technology\, information\, and innovation. As a result\, these elements are translated into competencies\, prototypes\, improved workflows\, and measurable service outcomes. \nFurthermore\, ICVIAS features keynote sessions\, editorial clinics\, showcases\, and industry problem-solution meetings. In addition\, it also includes a Student Challenge Competition. Ultimately\, the conference aims to foster meaningful connectivity and sustainable partnerships that support workforce readiness and community impact. \nAccordingly\, researchers\, academicians\, practitioners\, and students are invited to submit papers and join the international poster competition.
