D4 Veterinary Technology

The Applied Bachelor’s Study Program in Veterinary Technology is the result of the transformation and development of the Diploma III Study Program in Veterinary Paramedics. This program operates under the Department of Health within the Vocational Faculty. Students are equipped with knowledge and skills in the fields of veterinary technology and animal health. Graduates serve as animal health professionals who act as key partners to veterinarians in implementing the National Animal Health System. Graduates of the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Veterinary Technology receive an Animal Health Professional Competency Certificate in accordance with SKKNI No. 46 of 2013, covering areas such as animal disease control, animal product safety assurance, animal reproduction management, and laboratory examination and testing.

1. To organize and develop vocational education in applied veterinary health sciences that is competitive at national and international levels, grounded in national values and religious morals;

2. To conduct innovative applied research in the field of animal health, grounded in national values and religious morals;

3. To dedicate vocational expertise in animal health that prioritizes animal welfare while remaining oriented toward the welfare of society;

4. To establish strategic, collaborative, and sustainable partnerships with stakeholders in various educational, research, and community service activities at both national and international levels.

Goals

1. To produce graduates of the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Veterinary Technology who are skilled, independent, innovative, and uphold national values and religious morals, with an entrepreneurial spirit and high competitiveness at national and international levels.

2. To produce innovative applied research in the field of animal health with excellence in veterinary diagnostic technology that benefits animals and society;

3. To produce community service that supports the welfare of animals and society, as well as national life, so that communities are able to solve problems independently and sustainably;

4. To continuously improve the quality of graduates to achieve excellence in national and international competition and cooperation.
