D4 Veterinary Technology

Program Study of Veterinary Technology was result from transformation/development from Program Study of Veterinary Paramedic. Bachelor of Applied Veterinary Technology is one of the study programs under the auspices of the Department of Health, Faculty of Vocational Studies Universitas Airlangga. In this study program, students will be equipped with sciences in the fields of veterinary technology and animal health. Veterinary Technology graduates are animal health workers, who are the main partners of veterinarians in running the National Animal Health System. Graduates from the Bachelor of Applied Veterinary Technology Study Programme will be equipped with a Certificate of Competency of Animal Health Workers in accordance with the Indonesian National Work Competency Standard No. 46 of 2013, such as: animal disease control, animal product safety assurance, animal reproduction handling, and laboratory examination and sting. The profile of graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Veterinary Technology at Universitas Airlangga will later have roles as: A) Veterinary Laboratory Assistant B) Veterinary Quality Control and Quality Assurance; C) Animal Health Supervisor, and D) Entrepreneur

MISSION

1. Organizing undergraduate applied education in the field of veterinary technology and animal husbandry that is effective, efficient, accountable, sustainable, innovative, of high quality and professional to support progress in the field of veterinary science and animal husbandry.

2. Conducting applied research in the field of veterinary technology science and animal husbandry that can be applied to the wider community.

3. Conducting community service in the veterinary field, especially in the field Veterinary Technology and Animal Husbandry based on the results of research and innovation

4. Building cooperation with business and industry partners at national and international levels to align the competence of graduates with the needs of the world of work

Objectives

1. Producing Bachelor of Applied Veterinary Technology graduates who are skilled, independent, professional and uphold the value of pancasila and religious morals, as well as high competitiveness at the national level.

2. Create technology-based applied research in the fields of veterinary and animal husbandry that can benefit the wider community

3. Producing innovative community service based on veterinary technology and animal husbandry that is useful in advancing the general welfare and life of the nation so that the community is able to solve problems independently and sustainably.

4. Realizing the independence of the Applied Undergraduate Study Program in Veterinary Technology that is adaptive, creative, proactive to technological developments in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary.
