As part of the 7th International Conference on Vocational Innovation and Applied Science (ICVIAS), the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Airlangga, held a series of international competitions that showcased innovation and research excellence from participants around the world. Carrying the same theme as the main conference, “Multidisciplinary Collaboration for a Healthier World: Building Resilient Communities through Innovations Across Health, Engineering, and Business,” the competitions served as a platform for students and researchers to present their creative and scientific ideas.
The event took place at Majapahit Hall, ASEEC Building, on October 21, 2025, and attracted participants from various universities, both domestic and international. The competitions were divided into two categories: Poster Competition and Oral Presenter, aiming to promote collaboration and the exchange of innovative ideas across disciplines.
This initiative reflected the Faculty of Vocational Studies’ commitment to supporting research-based learning and fostering an international academic atmosphere that encourages creativity, innovation, and cross-cultural exchange.
Poster Competition: Showcasing Ideas through Visual Innovation
The Poster Competition became a highlight of the event, featuring innovative research and community projects aligned with the ICVIAS theme. Participants presented their ideas visually, combining design, data visualization, and scientific analysis to communicate complex issues in a concise and engaging way.
Through this category, students were encouraged to develop both their research and presentation skills. The competition also became an avenue for participants to share best practices and propose solutions to real-world problems through multidisciplinary approaches involving health, technology, and business.
Oral Presentation: Connecting Knowledge through Research Dialogue
In the Oral Presentation Competition, participants had the opportunity to deliver their research findings directly to an international panel of judges. This session encouraged open discussions, critical thinking, and academic dialogue that bridged diverse fields of study.
The presentations covered a wide range of topics from healthcare technology and environmental innovation to entrepreneurship and digital transformation. Each participant demonstrated not only scientific excellence but also the ability to communicate ideas effectively across cultural and disciplinary boundaries.
