VOKASI NEWS – Students from the D3 English Study Program visited the Suara Surabaya office to learn the process of advertising strategies in radio media.
The English Diploma visit the Suara Surabaya office on June 24th, 2024. This visit is a part of the student’s development of practical skills in the English for Advertising course. This program, known as radio visit, aims to provide students with firsthand experience in the advertising profession, particularly in the context of broadcasting media.
This visit aims to provide valuable opportunities for students to learn and experience directly from practitioners in the field of work. Students were not only given the chance to interact with Suara Surabaya’s creative and marketing teams but also to observe the process of how advertising strategies are implemented in radio media. The students were able to see the steps from planning to production of advertisements which broadcast to the public.
“This visit helped us understand the application of the theories we have learned in class to the real world of work,” said an English Diploma student.
Advertising Practical Experience in Suara Surabaya
Adinda Putri, S.S., the lecturer of the English for Advertising course, pointed out that this program is part of ensuring that the students have both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to the industry. In addition, Adinda also underlined the value of practical experiences like this in providing students with the skills they will need in the workplace.
In summary, these activities give D3 English students a competitive advantage and prepare them to adapt to the changing needs of the advertising industry. Students believe that this visit will help in better understanding the challenges and opportunities that exist in the advertising profession.
This is one of the critical steps in preparing students to enter the workforce in their chosen sector. In addition, students received more knowledge of the workings of the industry during the Q&A and debate on radio station advertising that followed this field study program.
