The AMERTA Festival at Universitas Airlangga reached a thrilling fun on Friday night, as students and faculty gathered for the much-anticipated AMERTA Concert. Held on August 8, 2025, the concert marked a significant milestone in the university’s year-long campaign, celebrating unity, creativity, and the spirit of rising together.
With a crowd of over 5,000 attendees, the concert turned into one of the most talked-about events on campus, perfectly capturing the vibrant energy and enthusiasm that has defined AMERTA throughout the year. The event, which took place at UNAIR’s main open-air amphitheater. Featured an exciting lineup of musical performances, interactive experiences, and surprise collaborations.
AMERTA’s Vision in the Spotlight
The AMERTA Concert was more than just a music event. It was an embodiment of the AMERTA campaign, which has encouraged Airlangga students and faculty to embrace unity, growth, and innovation. The slogan “Rise with AMERTA” resonated throughout the venue as students and staff danced, cheered. Celebrated their shared identity and aspirations.
“We wanted this concert to reflect everything AMERTA stands for: a rising community, the pursuit of excellence, and a celebration of diverse talents.” Said Dr. Haris Wijaya, the PR Manager for AMERTA at UNAIR. “Tonight, we witnessed just how much talent and passion exists within the Airlangga community. It’s been an incredible experience for all of us.”
Unforgettable Moments
Several surprise moments kept the crowd on their toes throughout the night. The highlight of the evening was a collaborative performance by Airlangga Beats, and the university’s dance troupe, which created a spectacular fusion of music and movement. The crowd erupted in cheers as the artists performed a dynamic mashup of traditional Javanese sounds and contemporary pop.
In addition to the performances, the event featured interactive zones where students could engage with different aspects of the AMERTA theme. There were booths showcasing student projects and a “Rise with AMERTA” photo booth. A virtual reality experience also allowed attendees to explore a digital version of UNAIR’s future campus.
A Celebration of Community
As the night drew to a close, the concert ended with a heartfelt speech from UNAIR’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE., M.Si., M.Fin., who thanked the students, staff, and performers for making AMERTA such a success. “This concert is a symbol of everything we have achieved together in 2025,” he said. “We have truly risen as a community, and AMERTA has united us in our shared journey toward excellence.”
The AMERTA Concert not only brought the university community together but also left a lasting impression on everyone involved. Students and faculty reflected on the campaign’s theme of rising with purpose, passion, and collaboration.
With the AMERTA campaign soon coming to an end. The concert was a perfect finale to a year filled with accomplishments, creativity, and unforgettable memories.
