VOKASI NEWS – Faculty of Vocational Studies, Airlangga University is one of the institutions that often collaborates with various universities, both domestic and foreign. This is done in the framework of the internationalization of academic programs and research collaborations. Some time ago, the Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR collaborated with Universiti Malaya (UM).
This time, the Faculty of Vocational Studies is in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). This collaboration meeting was held on Friday (24/02/2023) in the Majapahit Room, 5th Floor of ASSEC Tower. In the meeting, UNAIR was led by the Vice Chancellor for Internationalization, Dr. Muhammad Miftahussurur, dr., Sp.PD-KGEH, Ph.D. FINASIM was accompanied by Deputy Deans I and III of the Vocational Faculty. Meanwhile, UKM delegated 4 people namely Prof. Dr. Zafir Khan Mohamed Makhbul, Assoc. Prof. Dr Mohd Helmi Ali, Dr Mara Riduan Che Abdul Rahman, and Prof Dr Mohd Fairuz MD Salleh.
Muhammad Miftahussurur, dr., Sp.PD-KGEH, Ph.D. FINASIM said that this guest lecture was one of the steps to continue developing Airlangga University, especially in the field of internationalization. With this internationalization, our trust is higher and can increase Universitas Airlangga’s ranking in the future. At the end of his speech, he also expected the students who were present to take 5 kinesis from this event.
The International Guest Lecture and Research Collaboration series of events include guest lectures with 3 different topics. The first discusses “Academic Writing To Boost Publications by Assoc” by Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Helmi Ali. The second topic is “Positive Approach To Financial Accounting Theory” by Dr. Mara Riduan Che Abdul Rahman. And the last topic regarding “Business Turn Around Strategy UKM-GSB Case Study ” by Prof. Dr. Mohd Fairuz MD Salleh. Guest lecture activities were held at ASSEC Floors 4 and 5 attended by students from three majors at the Faculty of Vocational Studies. The event ended with a discussion of UKM – UA Research Collaboration which was presented by Vocational Faculty lecturers. This meeting will discuss further the cooperation between Universitas Airlangga, especially the Faculty of Vocational Studies, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
