VOKASI NEWS – The English diploma program is once again organizing its annual internal sports competition, EDSOPHORIA 2024.
In a spirited internal event, EDSO managed to bring together the entire English Diploma family from 22nd-generation students and 23rd-generation students in an intimate event held over 2 days on 3 and 4 August 2024. The event, named EDSOPHORIA, was not only an occasion to have fun, but also to showcase the intimacy and cohesiveness between batches.
EDSOPHORIA 2024 Competitions Among English Diploma Students
One of the main highlights of this event was the various competitions held. The 3 vs 3 basketball competition held on the basketball court located behind the Faculty of Humanity UNAIR campus B was one of the most interesting. Fierce matches took place in both men’s and women’s categories. After going through a series of tense matches, the 22nd batch women’s team won the championship by scoring 6 basketball shots. On the other hand, the men’s team that brought the champion was the 23rd generation students.
In addition to basketball, a single badminton competition held at Badminton Court located behind Faculty of Law UNAIR campus B was also a showcase for the participants. In both male and female categories, the players showed their best abilities. However, in the end, the 23rd generation players managed to dominate and bring home the title in both categories.

Not only basketball and badminton, futsal was also part of the series of exciting competitions held. The futsal match was exciting and tense. After a tight match, the 23rd generation futsal team managed to score a dominating goal and bring the championship title.
Beyond the fun and excitement of the event, the most significant outcome was the strengthening of the bonds between EDSO members. By participating in shared experiences, members were able to deepen their understanding of each other’s perspectives, values, and personalities. This newfound camaraderie can serve as a valuable asset to the organization,enhancing collaboration, cooperation, and overall team spirit.
