Strategy and Structure In Creating Instagram Captions of Tourism and Culture Departement of Batu Regency

Background of Activity

When intern writers at the department of tourism and stone culture district, the authors help develop a flower tour through the social media of Instagram. Author wrote for caption in the Sidomulyo Flower Mall Instagram account. The study is done by the author when the covid 19 pandemic that is causing some of the areas is affected by the pandemic, including the village of sidomulyo. So that the writer helps develop the interest tourism through social media as a means by which flower merchants continue their flower business.

The Method Used

In writing, the writer used fine writing strategies and structures to gain interest in reading and to make reading easier. The author focuses on one strategy in this report which the author using the Julius theory. It’s Aida’s strategy — it’s all attention, interest, passion and action. For the stage of structural use, the writer uses the theory of Asthon there are eight structures in copywriting according to the theory Asthon. But in writing this time, the writer only four structures applied to copying. It is a headline, an offer, a testimony, and a call to action.

Based on the writer’s observation, she found one of strategy that she used when doing copywriting for Instagram captions of Sidomulyo Flower Mall. The writer used AIDA copywriting formula. AIDA copywriting formula contains Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. Everyone working in the public sector is routinely tasked with producing various documents. However, if you need to write compelling copy that people will actually enjoy reading and acting on, that`s another story. You need to be creative, stay on-trend, and adapt your writing style according to the platform, audience, and message you want to convey.

Sidomulyo Flower Mall is a relatively new tour, therefore how should the writer be able to attract the attention of visitors by making captions as good and interesting as possible. By using the right structure, it is hoped that the writer can attract the interest of the reader. Consisting of headlines, offers, reasons, bonuses, testimonials, guarantees, calls to action, and NB.

Purpose of Activity

During her internship at the Tourism and Culture Department of Batu Regency, the writer created an Instagram caption for Sidomulyo Flower Mall. The strategy used was AIDA, which includes attention, interest, desire, and action. The structure used was attention, make it personal, reason, bonus, being believable, guarantee, call to action, and nota bene.

The writer faced challenges in choosing unique and interesting prefix words and explaining the reasons why the reader should buy the product. However, the AIDA strategy provided valuable knowledge on how to attract readers’ attention, explain the product correctly, and guide the buying process.

The structure used included headlines, offers, reasons, testimonials, guarantees, calls to action, and NB. This case study helped the writer improve their writing skills and gain experience in choosing interesting and unique words. The writer learned how to write copy regularly and improve their writing skills.
