VOKASI NEWS – As an implication of collaboration between the University of Malaya (UM) and the Faculty of Vocational Studies at Airlangga University (UNAIR). Dr. Safiah Omah presented a guest lecture at UNAIR. The guest lecture took place on the third floor of the vocational hall and covered the steps of producing scientific papers and how to become authorised at a reputable journal institution.
On February 14, 2023, 150 students from the Applied Diploma 3 and Diploma 4 attended the function. In her discussion, Safiah said that when writing scientific articles, there are a number of considerations that must be made, one of which is the author’s credibility.
“How can we determine whether the author of the journal is on a blacklist or not?” was the query posed by a student in the Hospitality Management Study Program.
The article writer must compare the scientific paper’s title and author based on the number of uploads via the Scopus page, Google Scholar, and other sites after selecting the journal that we use, Dr. Safiah continued. Since only high-quality research is listed on the scimago.jr website, the journal is not blocked if it is discovered.
