VOKASI NEWS – Representing the excellence of Universitas Airlangga on the international stage, Fasya Ineta Putri, a student majoring in English Diploma, is currently bridging the cultural gap between Indonesia and South Korea through the prestigious student’s activity called Campus Buddy Program, at Jeonbuk National University. This student activity is pairing 2:2 Korean and international students for one semester to facilitate language and cultural exchange.
Strategic Branding and Global Promotion
In the highly competitive and fast-paced academic environment of South Korea, the Vocational branding identity ‘Responsive (Sigap)’ proved essential for the student’s ability to navigate the complex and social academic dynamics. This motto was implemented when Putri engaged in multicultural group projects, where her quick decision-making and efficient communication became a key asset for her international peers.
“Representing UNAIR in Jeonbuk National University is not only about sharing a culture, but also about demonstrating adaptability, professionalism, and global competence in a diverse academic environment,” she stated.
Bridging Identities
To fulfill the objectives of the Campus Buddy Program, each group have to showcased a cultural exchange by making a presentation. While preparing for the presentation, Putri utilized her background in English language and communication to act as a strategic brand ambassador for Universitas Airlangga.
Alongside focusing on introducing Indonesia’s culture and attractive tourism, she also highlights how specific habits and values of UNAIR students foster growth on the international stage. By centering the narrative on the university’s motto, she successfully bridged the gap between Indonesian student identity and the global academic community.

Putri’s participation in the student activity serves as a strong reflection of how international mobility can significantly enhance the global reputation of Universitas Airlangga. This experience not only strengthened her intercultural communication skills but also broadened her academic perspective through exposure to diverse learning environments.
