VOCATION NEWS – On April 12, 2023, D-III Library Study Program of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a Student Inbound event attended by the Dean of Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR, Vice Dean 1, Head of Engineering Department, Head of D3 Library Study Program, and 3 students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The event took place in Radek Room, Faculty of Vocational Studies, 1st floor, UNAIR campus.
The event began with remarks from the Dean of Faculty of Vocational Studies, Prof. He expressed his hope that this program could strengthen cooperation between UNAIR and UiTM.
“This program is also expected to initiate the transformation of D3 Library Study Program into an Applied Bachelor’s Degree and to be able to do a Joint Degree with Malaysia,” said Prof. Anwar.
In his speech, the Dean of Faculty of Vocational Studies also asked for help from the Head of D3 Library Study Program, Dessy Harisanty, M.A., to provide all the facilities needed by UiTM students and provide comfort during the 5-month internship.

The Head of D3 Library Study Program, Dessy Harisanty, M.A., said that this Inbound Student activity is part of an intensive series in D3 Library Study Program, which aims to introduce the UNAIR campus environment to international students.
“Furthermore, UiTM students will also participate in community service activities, the Library Student Association, and other activities,” said the Head of D3 Library Program.
The Inbound Student event ended with a group photo session and discussion. This activity is expected to provide valuable experience for UiTM students in expanding knowledge and insight in the library field, as well as strengthening cooperation between UNAIR and UiTM.
