Higher education achievements are currently faced with various indicators, variables, and criteria that must be able to be met with various challenges. In fulfilling these achievements, universities must be able to synergize the roles carried out by the academic community, teaching staff, employees, students, and alumni.
Alumni and alma mater are two things that cannot be separated. Alumni are ambassadors who have contributed greatly to the progress of the alma mater. The role of alumni, for an alma mater, is very urgent. The existence of alumni who play a real role for society, nation and state is proof of the role of their alma mater in forging and educating alumni and graduates while seeking knowledge.
Alumni have a strategic role as representatives of universities in efforts to build the nation through various efforts in the community that really need concern, real work, participation and forms of service. In addition, the value of alumni participation and reputation or what we call Employer Reputation also plays an important role in determining the ranking of universities at the international level.
Alumni are expected to continue to display various works for alumni who have successfully occupied strategic positions in various fields, as well as alumni who have scientific achievements in the form of scientific innovations that are beneficial to the Indonesian nation.
The results of these works become the responsibility of the alumni to the alma mater and the country to always provide the knowledge gained while studying at Universitas Airlangga first.
It is hoped that this information about alumni can provide inspiration, motivation, and enthusiasm for service for alumni and students who are still actively studying at UNAIR.
VISION
The realization of a superior and proud IKA Commissariat of Unair Vocational School by promoting productive collaboration and innovation in order to realize the spirit of excellence with morality.
MISSION
- Strengthening the integration of databases and interrelation of human resources of UNAIR Vocational Academic Community (Lecturers, Students, and Alumni)
- Increase the spirit of devotion and concern for community and national problems
- Optimizing collaborative networks between alumni and Unair, Government, Business World and Industrial World
- The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has limited the space and time of the alumni;
- Vocational School is a new faculty resulting from the merger of several UNAIR Diploma programs;
- The alumni between study programs do not know each other, and there are not many alumni from new study programs;
- The current composition of the core board comes from people who are currently carrying out top management duties in their respective fields, so their free time is relatively short.
ALUMNI DATABASE FIELD
- Strengthening the network and database of Vocational alumni;
- Creation of websites, mobile applications integrated with social media as a means for publication and branding among alumni. For example: Digital news letter;
- Receive multimedia content from each field to be covered on social media. This can be in the form of videos, interviews, or live coverage of activities;
- Online registration of vocational alumni through the website;
- Creation of e-commerce for all alumni who have MSME businesses to synergize between alumni;
- Creation of a vocational member / alumni card (e-money / e-toll) with discount benefits when showing it in a business unit that has collaborated or alumni.
FIELD OF COOPERATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
- Research cooperation and optimization of scientific publications;
- Assist in the realization of Bridging Programs, internship programs etc;
- Coordinate with Professional Associations to assist Alumni in terms of certification, competency tests, etc;
- Actively provide job vacancy information to Alumni.
FIELDS OF ACTIVITY AND ORGANIZATION
Activities:
- Activities: Become a Public Relation and improve organizational branding, especially in helping the alma mater, Unair as a World Class University, raise the QS World University Rankings;
- Organize Alumni Gatherings, especially in certain agendas through seminars/workshops etc;
- Being a guest lecturer, providing motivation to Vocational School students;
- Assist Tracer Study Program
Organization:
- Encourage the formation of the management of IKA Prodi;
- Coordinate with PP IKA UA in supporting every program/activity carried out by PP IKA UA.
