Vocational News – Monday 21 November 2021, Faculty of Vessory Airlangga University conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) regarding the preparation of the MBKM Guidelines for the Faculty of Vocational University Airlangga. The event took place in the form of a focus group discussion and interactive discussion carried out online and followed by all Deans, the Coordinator of the Study Program, Chair of the Department and Secretary of the Faculty of Vocational Department, the Curriculum Team, Chair of the SPM Team.
This FGD activity presents 3 speakers including the Academic Director of Higher Education Vocational and Professional Dr. Beny Bandanadjaja, S.T., M.T. which delivered material offline at the Faculty of Vocational Airlangga University. He said that the purpose of Merdeka Policy Learning – Merdeka Campus was to improve the competence of graduates, both Soft Skills and Hard Skills, to be better prepared and relevant to the needs of the times, preparing graduates as leaders of a superior nation’s future and personality in hopes that they are expected to facilitate students Develop its potential according to passion and talent. In accordance with the direction of the Minister of Education and Technology Education, “giving freedom and autonomy to educational and independent institutions from the bureaucratization, the lecturers are released from a complicated bureaucracy and students are given the freedom to choose the field they like”.
In addition, the second speaker in the FGD preparation of the MBKM Guide is the Directorate of Innovation and Education Development Prof. Gather I Made Narsa SE., M.Sc., AK., C.A. He conveyed about changes that must be adapted to the curriculum system to support the implementation of the MBKM program. Also present were Director of Education, the Directorate of Education of Airlangga University, Prof. Gather Sukardiman, M.S., Apt. As the third speaker conveyed the Integration of Airlangga University System which supports the MBKM program.
