VOKASI NEWS – Grand Final Vocational Ambassador 2023 is an exciting opportunity for vocational ambassadors to showcase their skills and knowledge, and to represent their vocational area on a larger scale. The long selection process was not easy for the Vocational Ambassador participants. They have been through elimination sessions at every test until the best participants deserve to be a part of Vocational Ambassador UNAIR.
Many people misunderstand being an ambassador as a group of people who have a good-looking appearance. In fact, the role of an ambassador is to promote and brand a particular field. In addition, a Vocational Ambassador must be intelligent and have character. It is because they will be the representative figure of the Vocational Faculty and thus become the role model for many students.
The Benefit of Being a Vocational Ambassador
One of the finalists, Jovan Dwi Suseno, said that the Vocational Ambassador was a suitable forum for him to develop and have the opportunity to inspire or be a role model for students. Apart from that, he can increase his experiences through the opportunities he will receive later in the Vocational Ambassadors Association. For example, being trusted to be MC at various events at the Vocational Faculty, meeting and talking with great speakers, and gaining valuable experience that other students rarely get. He admitted that these vocational ambassadors are not only trained to be good role models with an attractive appearance but also trained to be able to have leadership and be able to contribute fully in the future.
Vocational Ambassador Selection
From selection stage 1 to quarantine, these ten finalists have been trained and equipped with the knowledge to prepare for the Grand Final of Vocational Ambassadors. Starting from time management, table manners, and other. There is also learning about how to be an MC in activities. Involving other countries that require us to use the international language, namely English, as well as many other things that are useful for subsequent management.
“To get to the Grand Final, there are many things that must be prepared. Currently, I am focusing on developing myself in terms of sharpening my literacy, public speaking, and both mental and physical health to ensure I am in the best condition during the Grand Final and the most important thing is to believe in the small processes that are carried out,” said Aqilah.
